Max is 2 Months Old

I just can't believe my little man is already two months old!  He is growing so fast and amazes me everyday.  He has a strong neck and loves doing tummy time still.  We are having so much fun listening to all of his new coos he makes and watching him make all of his cute little faces.  My favorite of course is his smile!  He loves it when I make silly faces and noises.  My little chunky monkey weights 13 pounds  and still wants to eat every 2-3 hours.  He did go for 6 hours the other night and this mommy was excited to get the extra sleep! Tomorrow we head to the doctor for his two month check up.  I am dreading the shots!!!!

My big 2 month old smiling.  I finally was able to capture a smile on camera thanks to big sis making him smile!!!

Fun with Cousins

Our nieces Megan and Nicole drove in from Georgia with their kids for a visit today.  It was so nice watching Ava play with her cousins Hunter, Taylor and Ben.  Soon Max will be running around with them too.  They played for hours in the back yard and in the house.  Nicole and her family live two hours away and Megan was in visiting Savannah. It was nice to have them come and spend the day with us.  We for sure need to get together more often!

Getting them to all to look and smile for the
picture proved to be impossible

Camping with Ava

Last Friday night Post had a Camp out under the stars event at the lake.  They had a fire pit, movie, popcorn, smores and alot of fun.  Mark and Ava set up their tent and enjoyed all of the festivities.  I was worried that Ava would want to come home when it was time for bed since the temps were getting down to the 40's that night but she didn't.  She only asked Mark if they could go home once and that was because it was 11:00 and kids were still up running around and making too much noise for her to fall asleep.  My girl loves her sleep!  They had a great daddy and daughter time!

We got her a Tinkerbell headlamp so she would have her
own and not take daddy's.

Thanksgiving School Program

The morning of the Preschool Thanksgiving Program was a little crazy to say the least.  It started with me taking Ava to school at the normal time only to find out she was not supposed to be there until 30 min before the program started.  Ooops guess I read the info sheet wrong but so did a few other moms.  Thankfully my friend called me to warn me just in time before I lugged my 13 lb baby boy in his car seat into the school.  No big deal so we head back to the house so I can get ready and prepare a veggie for the Thanksgiving feast.  While getting ready I put the beans on to cook and of course I burnt the beans so I head to the school empty handed.  Thankfully there was a ton of food so hopefully no one missed my burnt beans!  The kids did an awesome job as usual singing their songs and playing their handbells.  My little pilgrim sang so pretty .  She is not shy when it comes to singing and her teachers always say they can hear her above all of the other kids singing.  You could see it on her face how much she enjoyed singing every song.

Halloween full of fun

This year there were many fun activities for Halloween.  It is so much fun seeing Ava get all excited to hand out candy as well as go Trick o treating.  We started the day with a PJ halloween party at school.  Ava was so excited to wear the Stompees that Aunt Natalie had bought her and the Cow PJ's that G-ma and G-pa had sent her.  I had even bought her Halloween PJ's just for the occasion but she insisted on the cow PJ's.  Then it was pumpkin Carving with Daddy.  We usually don't carve a pumpkin since I am more into the mums and uncarved pumpkin on the porch kind of decorator but with Ava being older and more excited about all things Halloween we just had to have fun with it.  She helped daddy clean the pumpkin out and eve drew a picture of exactly how she wanted him to carve it out.  Once finished she instructed Mark to draw a beard on him.  The night of Halloween we waited for Mark to get off work and he took Ava around while Max and I handed out the candy.  We didn't have very many trick o treaters in our small neighborhood so there was candy left over for Mommy :)

The outfit I made Ava this year.  Well the shirt anyway :)
 Our first ever pumpkin carving.

Ava wanted him to have a beard.
Ava's class had a pj dress up day for Halloween.

Max is One Month

On October 27th Max turned one month.  He weighed 11lbs, smiles and can lift his head up during tummy time.  He likes to look all around and studies thigs so intensely.  He is a growing boy at 11lbs.

Pumpkin Patch Visit

Our trip to the Pumpkin patch this year we came away with no pumpkin, some sunflowers and a gourd.  Ava wanted a gourd instead of a pumpkin and I could not resist the beautiful sunflowers!
